- Defined a multi-quarter automation roadmap covering regression, feature validation, visual checks and API layers.
- Consolidated diverse frameworks into a smaller, opinionated set of tools with shared libraries and common patterns.
- Introduced code quality practices for test code (reviews, linters, static checks) to make suites more reliable over time.
Device-farm integration & mobile quality
Making sure “it works on my phone” scales to thousands of devices.
- Integrated cloud device farms into CI pipelines, reducing manual device handling and cutting mobile test cycles from days to hours.
- Standardised core test journeys by OS / device class / locale, ensuring consistent coverage where the users actually are.
- Exposed crash, ANR and performance signals to product and engineering via dashboards for data-driven release calls.
Shift-left quality & in-sprint automation
Moving from “test after dev” to “quality embedded in delivery”.
- Embedded QA and SDETs into feature squads, enabling automation to be designed alongside features instead of after release.
- Established in-sprint automation targets so that most new functionality shipped with coverage from day one.
- Enabled PR-level checks and smoke automation on feature branches, catching breaking changes before they hit mainline.
